The 5th annual IQAir World Air Quality Report, which reviews air quality data from 7,323 cities across 131 countries, has found that only Australia, Estonia, Finland, Grenada, Iceland, and New Zealand met the World Health Organisation guideline for PM2.5.
Despite a survey being carried out in 2011 that claimed it could pose a risk to human health, Havering Council claims it needs another six months to assess the air quality around a constantly burning landfill site.
